Piotr Adamczewski - lighting designer

Piotr Adamczewski, PhD

For more than 20 years I have been dealing with light and lighting in architecture. While I was studying architecture in Berlin, I was already involved in lighting design for many of the new buildings in the capital city. I started as a CAD draughtsman for the lighting industry. This was followed by work at several lighting design offices and the founding of my own studio L Lichtplanung.

Light and architecture are inseparably connected and should be treated in the same way. As with architecture, so with lighting, the answers to the needs of function, design and effect must be found in the planning process. The earlier this can happen, the more integral the solution, the easier it can be implemented. That's why I always try to start the work with the planning team at the beginning of the planning process to find the best solution - the solution which is unique and special, like the architecture.
